OK, I admit I forgot my login. So now I'm anonymous. Anyway...
My podcast is a return to the But That's Another Story format. I have been having many students asking about quick reads and/or page turners, so I decided to put it on line.
The special effects that I used included fading in all music. I also changed my voice to suit the characters, lowering it for the psycho stalker and raising it for the young girl. I also added an echo to the young girl as she is buried alive when speaking. Yes, I realize that being buried in a wooden coffin would not create an echo on your voice, but I thought it sounded cool.
Two students recorded their audio to go along with PowerPoint slides for a cellular respiration studycast and the male student that was speaking had a very monotone voice....so I dressed it up a bit! I chipmunked and echoed this students voice at various points and that was hilarious to me and the other students who have heard it so far. I am not too sure how Corbin feels about me taking these liberties yet!
The manipulation was easy and what I liked was that you could highlight a section of the audio track and "preview" your manipulations before accepting them. I liked this a lot because I had no idea what I was doing or how to get the effect I desired.
